ESRC 2017 Celebrating Impact Prize

The Economic and Social Reserach Council (ESRC) launches its

2017 Celebrating Impact Prize 

This year there are six categories for the Celebrating Impact Prize:
  • Outstanding Impact in Business and Enterprise 
  • Outstanding Impact in Public Policy 
  • Outstanding Impact in Society 
  • Outstanding International Impact 
  • Outstanding Early Career Impact (in partnership with SAGE Publishing) 
  • Impact Champion
The competition is open to all researchers supported by the ESRC and associates (i.e. individuals and organisations other than universities that are carrying out strategic commissioned work for ESRC) including:
  • current and previous ESRC-supported researchers, including ESRC centres and large investments and current and previous ESRC fellows 
  • current ESRC-funded doctoral students and past students whose ESRC studentship funding ended on or after 1 December 2012 are eligible to apply for the Outstanding Early Career prize
  • team entries, of which the lead contact and majority of the team must meet the above requirements. 
A prize of £10,000 is awarded to the winners of each Outstanding category (the money has to be spent in 12 months on generating further impact).

A prize of £10,000 is awarded to the winner of the Impact Champion category, which is open to researchers and non-researchers who are associated with the ESRC.

The application deadline is 16.00 on 1 December 2016.
