The ESRC’s 2nd round Transformative Research call aims to provide a stimulus for genuinely transformative research ideas at the frontiers of the social sciences, enabling research which challenges current thinking to be supported and developed. The University of St Andrews has been invited to submit one application to this call. Successful proposals will be funded up to £250,000 and will be required to begin between 1st June 2014 and 1st September 2014.

- Internal deadline: Potential applicants submit proposal (2 pages , no costings) to RPO by the 2nd December 2013.
- Internal Selection Panel meet to review proposals early December 2013
- Successful applicant informed by 9th December 2013
- Deadline for submitting proposal to ESRC is 16.00 hrs on 15th January 2013 (submission through Je-S – Full costing at 100 per cent fEC is required as part of the Je-S proposal)
