The Arts and Humanities Research Council is now invitng outline
proposals for its large grants under its digital transformations theme.
This theme aims to exploit the potential of digital technologies to
transform research in the arts and humanities, and to ensure that arts
and humanities research is at the forefront of tackling crucial issues
such as intellectual property, cultural memory and identity, and
communication and creativity in a digital age. These large grants are
expected to support proposals that are novel in terms of ambition and
scope and transformative for the arts and humanities. International
collaboration is encouraged for the grants.
Awards should last for a minimum of 36 months and a maximum of 60 months and will be expected to start between 1 October 2013 and 1 April 2014. Funding of between £1 million and £2m is available on a full economic cost basis with the AHRC meeting 80 per cent of the full economic costs.
