The
second campaign of AXA Post-Doctoral fellowships for 2012 has opened. The
domains of research are Environmental risks, Life risks and Socio-economic

further details on eligible areas.
Please
note there is a limit of one application for St Andrews.
Prof Hawkesworth and the Deans will review outline proposals and will select
one application candidate on behalf of St Andrews based on the following
selection criteria:
· Academic excellence
of the candidate
· Innovative nature
and originality of the project
· Feasibility of the
project (management, organization)
· International
reach/International scope of the host laboratory
· International
mobility (valued but not required)

· A detailed
description of the Post-Doctoral project (4 pages maximum) – Draft version
· A detailed CV
Optional
Supporting information:
· 2 letters of
recommendation:
· 1st letter by the
applicant’s Post-Doctoral advisor, which should include:
· An engagement of
the Post-Doctoral advisor to supervise the Post-Doctoral candidate
· Information about
the excellence of the research environment offered by the institution:
international reach, academic networks, details of the research facilities,
research equipment, IT, etc.
· The number of
fellows/trainees to be supervised by the Post-Doctoral advisor during the
fellowship
· 2nd recommendation
letter, preferably by the applicant’s Ph.D. advisor
