There is a workshop for academic staff on ‘Recruiting and
Supervising Postgraduate Research Students’ next Wednesday 14th
March 2012. Delivered by the Pro Dean of Arts (Postgraduate) and members of
staff from various Schools and ELT, this interactive workshop will:

use case studies to explore how to provide
effective supervision and how to handle difficulties in supervision and
progression.
·
outline the University policies and procedures
related to the supervision of postgraduate research students
