Melville Trust Cancer Clinical Fellowship

Applications for a Clinical Fellowship are being invited to the Melville Trust for the Care and Cure of Cancer

Closing date for applications is the 1 December 2011.

The assumption is that the fellowship will commence on 1 August 2012. The applications will be considered and decided by February 2012. The Fellowship will be undertaken at one of the (or used) in one of the clinical or scientific departments in Lothian, Borders, Fife or Dundee. Applicants need not necessarily have experience of research.

Fellowships are normally awarded to researchers under thirty years of age, to undertake innovative research work in the care or cure of cancer. Applicants should have formulated proposals for a research project which have been discussed with an established research worker in the field.

Costs to be included: salary for the research fellow will be commensurate with age, experience and qualifications of the applicant. A modest sum will be donated annually to the host department to defray research costs, but requests for additional support including equipment will not be considered.
